rose smiled sweetly at Lena but her agitation was still showing. "Of course but i don't take anything for pains; my uncle says I need to toughen up, he doesn't like when i take anything that is not herbal. He is a bit OCD about it; He says it will mess with my natural body balance or some strange thing like that." she laughed, it was a fake laugh but a laugh none of the less. She looked around the smell of sanitation was still very strong "What do they do??! Mop the floors with hand sanitizer?!" She wrinkled her nose in disdain

Lena sighed softly and pushed the chair over to her car. "If the doctors gave it to you, you need to take it." Her uncle doesn't sound very sane.. She opened the passenger door for Rose.

Rose let out a soft sigh as she lifted herself from the chair and into the car " I must obey my uncle's rules; anyways there are other ways of blocking out pain rather than just taking a pill." She buckled herself up and closed her eyes, leaning her head back "Where did David go?"

Camille's head snapped to the left, toward the hospital parking lot. She whipped around to face David. Her lips pulled back over her teeth and she snarled again, dropping to a crouch. "Your human is asking for you. Mustn't keep her waiting. Humans never do live long." She was baiting him, testing the waters.

She shook her head. Rose was being impossible. "I don't know where David is. He disappeared before we came outside. Maybe someone came to pick him up."

Lena walked to the back of the car and pulled a pillow and a blanket from the trunk. She carried them back to the passenger door and slipped the pillow under Rose's head. "I'll take you with me to the school. You can nap in the car. We don't have time to go to my house and still get to the school before it closes." Her tiny hands gently tucked the blanket around the other girl.

"Hah.. Like I'd fall for that.. Besides, they already know I am no longer there.. I left about.." He took a quick glance at his watch and shrugged. "30 minutes ago. I can be long gone if I had someone pick me up." He laughed some as he heard the other human female speak just after he had. "See?" He took a step towards the other vampire and smirked. "And I'd watch that hiss of yours.. Some might not take too kindly towards it."

"Some? You're the first vampire I've seen in ages." I could excuse myself and follow them to the school.. He might not know. I would be long gone by the time he found out. Maybe... Her red eyes stared up at him. He didn't seem ready to let her go any time soon.

"Really? I've just seen a couple a few months ago.." He shrugged and laughed, as his deep orange eyes pierced into her own. "So tell me.. How old are you, child?" Just delay her long enough for them to get away.. Then I'll see what she'll do and act accordingly.. Hopefully, she's not stupid enough to follow them..

Camille wrinkled her nose and stared at him. She fidgeted a lot for a vampire. It was as if she didn't know how to stand still. "I am thirteen years old. Might I inquire as to why you would need to know?" Is he being friendly? I don't like that..

"I meant how long have you been around.. I could care less about how old you were when you turned." Really..? Do I have to point out everything to this child? Maybe she's just a newborn.. He quickly tossed away such thoughts and did a mental shrug as he spoke again. "And because I am interested to know about you of course. This is the first conversation I've had with one of my kind in a while."

"A few months isn't a while!" She snapped. "I don't know how long I've been around because I don't know what year it is. I was born a human in eighteen thirteen. Since you seem to know everything, you can do the math for yourself!" The girl sneered at him. "How old are you?"

"A few months I saw one; He attacked me without reason and he wound up dead." He quickly did the math in his head and told her. "Well, it is the year 2010. And seeing as you were born in 1813.. And you are.. Err.. Were 13 when you turned.. That would be 1826. Which would then be.." he quickly redid the math to make sure he was correct. "197 years old. Unless you meant your 'birth' as being your vampiric birth, of which it would be 200 years old. As for me.. I am... Somewhere around.." He lifted his fingers and began thinking as he put down fingers and then put them back up, keeping a careful eye on her the whole time, the finger ruse just to occupy him as he did the problem and to keep her off guard. "Somewhere around.. 300?"

"That can't be the year.." The last time she had seen a calendar, it had been 1985. Camille eyed him warily. If he has to count on his fingers.. Math can't be his strong suit. "What year were you born? As a human." She wasn't going to correct the assumptions he made.

He nodded and thought for a moment. "Um.. 1772, I believe.." He shrugged and laughed. "Or somewhere around there."

"Two hundred thirty eight." Her expression remained wary, but her eyes were bright and cheerful. "Who taught you arithmetic, a mule?" A million thoughts were on her mind and food, for once, was not one of them. Camille had hardly spoken to anyone but herself in a century. Now not only was she having a conversation, she was having one that made her feel superior to someone nearly twice her age.

"Arithmetic..? What's that?" He blinked a little and scratched behind his head. "And.. Thanks for clearing that up." He laughed some and shook his head. Good.. Looks like I finally have her attention on me and not them anymore.. As long as it stays that way, we'll be good.

Camille stared at him. "Basic math.." He can't be that daft.. Can he? "You're only forty one years older than I am." What was forty one years to a vampire? He might as well have been her age, her neighbor. Though her instincts warned against it, she wanted to trust him now. He was strange and slow minded. What harm could he possibly be? Having a friend might be nice.

"Oh.. Where I come from, that's just called.. Well, math.. Anything else is separate; Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, ect.." He laughed some and shook his head.

Camille chewed on her lip and nodded slightly. "Where are you from?" She shifted her weight from one foot to the other and flicked her hair behind her shoulder.

He shrugged and laughed some. "Damn.. That's so damn long ago.. Uhh.. South Carolina.. I was raised by my mother until I left her when I turned 17.. What about you? Where do you hail from?"

Her pale eyebrows knit together in concentration. It was always hard to try and remember. Her human memories were dark and murky, like she was trying to see through dirty water. "Q-quebec? I remember France, before that, and a trip.. I remember waking up in the woods. I was hungry, so.. I think that was the first day." Camille ran a hand through her hair and huffed impatiently. Just thinking of the burning thirst on that day would always bring the feeling back. Now she was thirsty again.

"Quebec.? I've heard of it.. Don't remember where it is though." He laughed some and shook his head. "Anyway.. How is your hunger nowadays? Any better at it?" He raised a brow and stared at her, watching her body movements for any sign of aggression.

Her eyes darkened slightly. "Quebec is in Canada. A little better. I'm not going to tear through town on a killing spree.. But you're the only real problem I've ever encountered." She glared at him.

He's being friendly again.. Camille nodded and made an attempt to smooth the bottom of her dress. I don't think I'll get rid of him easily.. "Maybe."
