She rolled her eyes and climbed to a higher branch. The only way she was going to be hurt in this situation would be if he climbed the tree to get to her. "I'm not an idiot. I haven't been hurt in ninety years, thank you." To prove her point, she snapped a branch off with one hand and threw it at him.

He blinked a little before he reached his hand up and caught the branch, breaking it in half with one hand. Each side fell around to his sides. "And I haven't been hurt in all of my years.. I really don't like fighting my own people; It's much like cannibalism. One reason why I barely feast on humans. They are far too similar.." He shrugged and laughed. "I also have candy.~"

"Why should I trust you? You're a vampire." If this statement was absurd, Camille didn't notice. She was hungry and frightened and getting very close to annoyed.

"Because we have to trust each other.~ There are so few of us left after all..." He pouted and looked away for a moment before flicking his eyes back up to her. "And 'sides.. You are one yourself.~ So should I trust you?"

A vicious, feral snarl tore from her throat. "Trust is childish nonsense." Camille continued on her way up the tree.

He sighed before he picked up one of the broken tree limbs. "If you say so.." He through the limb back up the tree before rounding it fast and then climbing up from behind it. 'But your still mine.. I won't let anyone cause an interference in this town while I am here..'

Camille squealed faintly and dropped from the tree. Merde! "Va chier!" She screeched at him. She stomped her foot childishly and folded her arms across her chest. So what if he didn't speak french? Let him work it out on his own. "It's just one human!"

Rose nodded in agreement to Lena, she knew this girl wouldn't give up. Some people are just too stubborn for their own good. She glared at the nurses as they walked by, their white shoes squeaking on the bright clean floor. Everything was just too loud here. she looked down at her feet "Don't say I'm not warning you about my Uncle coming.. hes not the most agreeable person nor the most pleasant to be around" She could only imagine her uncle's reaction when he entered the house only to find that she was no where in sight. She could remember what happened last time someone disappeared on him. She shivered involuntarily as the memories passed through her. She continued to stare at the ground around her; her soft gray eyes darkening almost to a dark unfeeling black.

Lena smiled and nodded. "It's okay. I'm sure he'll understand." She leaned over Rose's head to adjust the coat. And if he doesn't, she can stay at my house until he calms down. "Did they give you anything? Medicine for pain?"

Lena gently pushed the wheelchair out of the automatic doors and into the pouring rain. She looked around for David, but he was no where in sight. "Guess we're riding home alone, Rose."

He smirked as he dropped out of the tree at the same time as he. He rounded it and ran down in front of her. "It may just be one human, but it's a human that people have seen me around.. Understand?" A low growl rumbled in his throat as he stared down at her. "So instead, go one town over and hunt from there."

Camille stumbled back. "Y-you're not the boss of me.." She knew she was pushing it, but if she left, that would mean that he won. She didn't like the way that sounded.

"You are correct.. I am not the boss of you. However, I will constrain you if you refuse.. I'd much rather if you just went on by yourself so I do not have to.." He let out a yawn and shrugged. "Like I said.. I hate fighting." He moved his head around in a circular motion as his hand once more ran through his hair. He really needed to learn more human reactions than the 4 he's been using. "However you're leave me no choice.."

Camille squeaked again and pulled herself into another tree. "Leave me alone! Go back to playing with your food."

He laughed and looked up at the tree. "Scaredy-cat.. Oh, well.. guess I won't end up sharing with you, then."

Camille rolled her eyes. "Like you could catch a human by yourself." This vampire was.. Confusing. He made it sound as if he had planned to stay in this area for a while, but that couldn't be possible. The humans would figure it out eventually. It was possible that he was simply trying to get rid of her.

He sighed and raised a brow. "I am still alive correct? Of course I can catch them by myself.. How about an agreement? One month.. One month and then we'll go to take them." He smiled and held his hand out towards the top of the tree. "Agreed?"

Camille looked at him warily. She hadn't planned on staying in this soggy town very long. All she wanted was a meal. "And if I refuse your offer?"

"Hm.. If you refuse.. I will do nothing until you start hunting in this town.." He shrugged and turned around to where his back faced her. "Or do anything to harm me in any way.."

Damn.. This man was pushing her buttons. "Why are your eyes orange?" Camille had listened to him long enough. It was her turn to talk.

"Orange.. Eye- Oh! Right those!!" he laughed some and shook his head. He gave a quirky grin as he pointed. "Contacts, yo." At least that's the excuse I give the humans.

"Yo?" Camille cocked her head to the side and jumped down from the tree to land in front of David. "Contacts, like people in positions of power?" In that one statement, he had sent her mind reeling. As much English as she managed to pick up, she had never bothered with slang. Perhaps all Americans are strange.. She had nothing to compare him to but Canadian vampires. Everything about him was strange. Even his accent was foreign to her. She had heard many accents, from English to Irish, and had always considered them inferior to her own French dialect. David's voice was not an exception. It sounded as if it had been squashed flat.

He blinked at the others lack of new verbology. He shook his head and laughed. "No, no.. Contacts are things that humans put in there eyes to help them see better... But if you want a correct response, it is because I feast on both humans and animals." Could this child really be that dense not to know what contacts are? Sure, they are new but.. Obviously she would have heard something about them through her travels..

She wrinkled her nose and stared at him. "Why would you eat animals? That's disgusting." Camille was in no state to be calling the habits of others disgusting. She hadn't stopped to bathe in well over a month and had been wearing the same dress for decades. Her hair was filled with leaves and twigs and her grey crushed velvet dress was caked with dirt and old blood, turned black with age. She looked like a very frightening doll someone had left outside and forgotten.

He laughed some and looked back at her. "You get used to it pretty quick.. Plus, you don't have to worry about getting caught. And you can stay in the city longer.. Maybe buy a new dress." He smirked as he looked down at her dress. "Or at least take a shower and clean your clothes."

Camille glowered up at the man. She didn't buy anything. She took what she wanted and never thought twice about it. "Why would you want to stay in one city?"
