Lena sighed softly and shut off the radio as they pulled into the parking lot. She really didn't like speeding, but what other alternative did she have? Neither of the girls had cell phones, and she had a feeling David wouldn't take kindly to questions, so an ambulance had definitely been out of the question.

Her eyes flickered to the back seat to gaze at Rose. Her worry drove her to chew on her lip again. I'm not sure if she can walk through the doors.. Maybe I could get someone to come with a wheel chair. Instead of making the decision herself, she decided she would ask. "Rose, are you alright to walk or do you need assistance?"

Rose snored on in the backseat. She could hear Lena's voice but was not aware that it was not coming from her dream. The only difference was in the dream it was not Lena speaking it was David.

He climbed out of the car fast and opened the back door, flinging Rose over his shoulder. "I'll carry her. You hurry up and get a doctor." He started walking towards the doors of the hospital, slowing down increasingly as his eyes stared directly at the doors.

How the Hell did I wind up in this mess? Last thing I need is to be in a damn hospital with a bunch of bleeding fools..

He sighed and shook his head as he slowly sped the pace up, keeping it slower than his normal walking speed however.

She nodded and rushed ahead of David. Instead of continuing on to the front desk, she paused to hold the door for him. "You should probably be a bit more gentle, David.." She had lapsed back into calling him by name, a by-product of all the worrying.

Rose let out a grunt from being flung over his sholder, it woke her right up from her dream. She let out a low squeal of agony "Why did you do that you brute!! It HURT!"

He let out a breath to calm himself and let out a whisper towards Rose and nodding his head towards Valena to note that he had heard her. "You wouldn't get up fast enough and we need to make sure we get there as soon as possible in case of trauma.."

Rose let out a low whimper "it hurt so bad though..couldn't you be just a bit gentler?" she softly patted his bacK. And purposely went limp.

Lena shook her head and sighed again. "Carrying her around like a sack of potatoes isn't going to help if she is hurt.." She walked toward the desk. Prepare for lots of questions.. She leaned up onto her toes and peered over the counter top to speak with the nurse. It was an older woman, her blonde hair tinged with gray. She looked kindly enough, and she gasped as Lena explained the situation in hushed tones.

After a moment, Lena came back to David and Rose with a wheelchair and a clip board. "We have to fill these out. Someone will be right out to take her back, and then they're calling the police."

He looked down at the wheelchair that Valena had brought and slowly set Rose down in front of it. "Is it medical information or a report of what happened?" His gaze turned towards the clipboard as he held his hand out to grab it if it was the latter.

As soon as she was placed in the wheel chair she grabbed the wheels and began to roll herself back and forth. She watched the others with a crazed smile.

Lena wrinkled her nose indignantly and whipped the clipboard back out of his reach. "Medical. If it were a police report, I would have three. We'll all need to fill one out." She dropped the forms and a pen into Rose's lap. "Please fill these out, okay? I have to go call my mom." Lena spared another worried glance in Rose's direction and then took off down the hall.

He let out a sigh and watched as Velena ran. ".. If she wanted to call her mother she needed just ask.." His hand slipped inside of his left jean pocket and he pulled out an old flip phone and handed it towards Rose. "You should call your folks too.." He walked over to a wall afterward and leaned against it, his arms crossing over his chest and his eyes closing.

Rose too the phone and punched in the numbers. She waited untill the answering machine came on to babble about having a hospital trip.She handed the phone back to david and started on the paperwork.

The nurse Lena had talked to a few moments ago came over and smiled sympathetically down at Rose. "Are you ready to go, dear?" Without waiting for an answer, she took hold of the handles on the wheelchair and started to push it down to a room. "I'll return your friend soon." She turned to smile at David and her breath caught in her throat. The woman was torn between awe and a fear she couldn't quite explain. Her blonde and gray hair shifted as she shook her head. She was just working too hard. That had to be it.

Rose slouched down as she was wheeled into the examination room.The nurse left her alone with a doctor. His name was Dr.Figgitt, He smiled at her but it only sent chills down her spine. He began to feel her head searching for bumps or cuts. He felt up her arms and legs continually asking if it hurt. When it got to her hips she squeaked.She refused to let him give her a breast exam. He sent her to get x-rayed and to get a catskan. When it was all over Rose was tuckered out.

He reopened his eyes as he stared at the nurse and Rose. He carefully pushed off of the wall as he walked towards the direction Valena had went, pocketing his phone back in his pocket. "How's the folks?" His eyes glided over to the telephone before turning back towards Valena's small frame.

Lena didn't even look at David as she pressed her thin finger against her lips, indicating for him to be quiet. She was still on the phone with her mother. "No, I'm fine, mom. I'm going to help out as much as I can, and then I'll be home, okay?" She was silent as she listened, staring blankly at the wall in front of her. Her attention seemed perfectly focused. "Alright. I love you too, mom. Bye."

The small girl huffed softly and checked another item off of her list before turning toward David. "My parents are perfectly fine, Haley Joel. Thank you very much for asking.. Shouldn't you call yours?" She raised an eyebrow. Lena was still under the impression that David would not appreciate her poking in his business.

"I already called my own.." He looked around the small corridors before he turned to go join back up at the front desk. "They should be taking us to Rose at any time."

Lena rolled her eyes and followed after him. "Have you never been in a hospital before? They'll either release her and send her home or keep her over night. Either way, we're not family. We won't be getting in that room any time soon, so you should just calm down and wait for the police to g-" She cut off in the middle of her sentence and coughed. The police were already there.

They came over, asked about the situation, and Lena told them everything she knew. They nodded and handed the two of them papers to fill out for their statements and then went off to find Rose.

Rose quickly rolled the wheelchair over to the pair "well it looks like I'm gonna live..just injured my arm..and ribs" she smiled faintly at the pair.She beamed up at the officers only to get a paper for her statement. Her eyes watered as she thought about everything that had happened that day. She let out a soft sigh as a tear escaped and rolled down her cheek leaving a shimmering trail.

He looked down at Rose's frame in the wheel chair. "Well, that's good.. Just minor injury's. Should repair in a few weeks." He looked over at the officers and then pulled out a pen from the same jean pocket he had his phone in and started to fill out the report.

Lena dropped to sit exactly where she had been standing. This, of course, meant that she was sitting in the middle of the cold tile floor. As her pen hit the paper, it flew rapidly across the page in the same way she wrote her school notes. It was a tiny scrawl, just neat enough to read clearly, but her handwriting certainly wasn't going to win any awards anytime soon. Her statement started from the moment she followed Rose out of the library. It's not necessary to say why she left, I think.

Rose quickly finished the report,having started in biology all the way to now. She didn't dare add how David had been stabbed and was seemingly unwounded. She signe her name with a deamatic flourish and shoved it at the office. With her other hand she wiped away another tear.

David focused on writing on the fine print of the lines. He ended up taking up two lines instead of one anyway seeing as how he never really worked on his hand writing in all of the years he had time too. And what's with the lines only being a few centimeters apart anyway? Can anyone write like that? He started from the time she had ran away from study hall and included everything he had seen afterward. Leaving out the part about hearing the scream through the rain of course..
